Our escape from
Minnesota's bitter cold with many below zero days (-20 degrees in
Longville) was very welcome. Our week-long stay in S.A. was
fantastic - lots of sightseeing in town - the Alamo La Villita &
Rodeo favorites and great day trips to Fredericksburg and LBJ Ranch,
Corpus Christi and Port Aransas, Gruene for the Art Fair and New
Braunfels - all recommended.
"Our" little pink house was perfect for us - spacious and well equipped for meals, piano playing, tv watching, etc. Thanks for making it a cozy and comfortable home away from home. No doubt we'll be back. Vieleu Lerzlichen Danke! Connie and Bob, John and Sue
Minneapolis and Longville, Minnesota (respectively) Great place, clean,
comfy, well equipped. The trains were a little noisy, but they
drowned out Barry's snoring!! Luckily I always have earplugs.
We had a great time here, but do not recommend the Alamo Trolley Tour. A huge waste of money especially do the hop off tour. Only 1 trolley each hour. You can walk to everything except the missions with we did by car. We would rather have spent the money on other things - like the happy hour at one of the Italian eateries on the Riverwalk, excellent value for the money. United Kingdom This was a great
place to stay for the weekend. It was nice to stay away from the
busyness of San Antonio, But still have quick access to the fun.
It was amazing to be able to cook a real breakfast each day, rather than have cereal or a pop tart that we're so accustomed to with the residence halls. Thank you for a relaxing, homey place to stay for our visit. I'll definitely be recommending you and this place to friends. Delena, Casey, Sabrina and Carrie
College Station, Texas This was a very comfortable, convenient place to stay while we visited San Antonio. The best part was that we didn't have to shovel any snow! Ed and Jill, Ron and Ellen

Running late - but great place. Nice to be in a quiet neightborhood and close to everything - Thanks- Loved the Taco Truck! Whataburger and fancy in-town restaurants like Azuca! Hi Tamara! Laralee, Very comfortable home, close enough to tour, but not too close! Good location, easy access to highways. Especially with a GPS system. Many interesting places to visit and not enough time. The riverwalk was excellent and would like to come back. We ate at several local places and enjoyed every one, even the little food wagon at the end of the street. We covered about 500 miles in about 6 days, not counting the many miles of walking. If you like antique shops, the best area for many shops within walking distance was Comfort, Texas, just down the road from Welfare, Texas, and on the way to Fredericksburg. If your on a tight budget we would recommend La Tuna Bar and Grill for drinks, Taco Haven, and Bill Miller Bar BQ (breakfast and lunch). Well, Back to 32 degree Michigan.
